SPS Delivery Lead – Subsea Wellhead & Xmas Tree Equipment

ABOUT THE PROJECT

On behalf of a confidential international operator in the offshore oil & gas sector, EP2C is recruiting for a major, very deep-water greenfield development located offshore Namibia.

MISSION / ROLE DIMENSIONS

The role holder will be responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of the wellhead system, tubing hanger and Xmas Trees (XT), hardware and tooling, for a deep-water greenfield project, as part of the SPS team. The role ensures safe, compliant and on-schedule delivery from procurement through manufacturing, testing, logistics and offshore installation support, demonstrating strong technical knowledge, proactive interface management and leadership in coordinating the SPS EPFS Contractor and internal stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead planning, execution and control of delivery for wellhead, tubing hanger and XT systems, ensuring timely issuance and delivery.
2. Serve as the focal point for delivery of all SPS equipment to Drilling and SURF teams as required, across internal and external stakeholders.
3. Act as the primary interface with the SPS EPFS Contractor for delivery of wellhead, tubing hanger and XT hardware packages.
4. Follow up delivery schedules, progress-tracking tools and risk registers.
5. Ensure alignment between engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality and installation teams.
6. Drive readiness reviews (FAT, SIT, EFAT, load-out, offshore readiness) and ensure all prerequisites are met.
7. Monitor manufacturing progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to quality and delivery milestones.
8. Assess supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
9. Review/support logistics planning, including packaging, preservation, transportation and storage.
10. Ensure seamless and timely handover to installation and operations teams.
11. Provide regular progress updates, risk assessments and decision support to project leadership.
12. Support the SPS Lead XT and Wellhead engineer, and the SPS technical/SPS manager as required, monitoring contractor performance on engineering and QA/QC.
13. Support change management and risk assessments/mitigation actions; capture and report lessons learned; coordinate with other team members, including the SPS contract engineer, on correspondence and contract follow-up throughout project execution.

HSE, ETHICS & COMPLIANCE

1. Ensure compliance with HSE&Q rules and safe working practices across all phases of the project, including the Client's HSE programmes (Golden Rules, Life-Saving Rules), and demonstrate strong leadership in HSE behaviours, particularly for offshore installation and connection operations.
2. Support compliance with the Client's Code of Ethics and Conduct, promoting and enforcing the Anti-Corruption Programme within the Project.

CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT

The project is an ultra-deep-water development (~3,000 m water depth) located offshore Namibia, producing oil through subsea production systems tied back to an FPSO.

The development includes multiple wells, subsea production systems and extensive SURF infrastructure, requiring precise interface management between SPS, Drilling, SURF and FPSO systems.

International, multicultural environment with multiple contractors and fabrication sites worldwide. The position is based at the SPS EPFS Contractor's main engineering office.

DURATION / LOCATION

Starting date: October 2026 (subject to Final Investment Decision)

Duration: 1.5 years minimum, up to 5 years

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – at the Contractor's engineering centre for project execution

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1. Master's degree in mechanical engineering, subsea engineering, or a related field.
2. Languages: English.
3. Recent and relevant experience with a major SPS Contractor, covering detailed design, fabrication, delivery and offshore execution in deep-water environments.
4. Strong experience in the delivery of subsea hardware (wellhead, tubing hanger, XT system and tooling), and subsea drilling knowledge.
5. At least 15 years of experience within large offshore oil & gas subsea projects.
6. High awareness of safe working practices on subsea system construction.
7. Excellent communication and written skills.
8. Willing to travel as required for business, both domestically and internationally.
9. Ability to work with different disciplines and cultures in a complex, multicultural environment.
10. Good knowledge of relevant codes, and preferably of major operators' General Specifications, procedures and policies.
