Job Description
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify hazards on HDB construction sites.
Implement and maintain safety procedures in line with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and guidelines set by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
Advise site management on health and safety matters, providing recommendations to reduce risk and improve safety standards.
Prepare and review safety plans, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.
Conduct safety training and orientations for workers to ensure adherence to safety standards.
Investigate accidents and near-misses, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
Liaise with external authorities (e.g., MOM, BCA) for audits, inspections, and safety certifications.
Ensure proper documentation of safety reports, accident logs, and training records.
Promote a safety-first culture and maintain effective communication with all site workers and supervisors.
Monitor and report on the implementation of safety initiatives and provide regular updates to management.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in workplace safety within the construction industry, with at least 1 year of experience in HDB construction projects.
Possess a valid WSH Officer certification from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
Knowledge of local regulations, safety standards, and best practices in construction.
Strong understanding of risk management and hazard identification techniques.
Ability to conduct safety audits, investigations, and inspections.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with site supervisors and workers.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with the requirements of the Building and Construction Authority (BCA).
Experience with safety management systems and software.
First Aid and CPR certification will be an advantage.
