Role Description The Plantation Palm Oil role is a full-time, on-site position located in Tawau. The role involves supervising day-to-day plantation operations, including field activities such as planting, upkeep, harvesting, and crop quality monitoring. The team member will support implementation of agronomic best practices, ensuring adherence to sustainability guidelines, safety standards, and company policies. Responsibilities include collecting and interpreting field data, coordinating with advisory and laboratory teams on soil, leaf, and product analysis, and applying recommendations to improve yield and plantation health. The role also requires preparing concise reports, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, guiding field staff, and communicating operational issues and progress to management.

Qualifications

  • Strong agronomy and plantation management knowledge, including crop husbandry, soil management, and sustainable palm oil practices.
  • Skills in data collection, basic analysis, and reporting related to field trials, productivity measurements, and environmental performance.
  • Ability to coordinate and supervise field teams, with sound organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
  • Awareness of safety, health, and environmental regulations relevant to plantation operations, with a commitment to compliance.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear operational reports and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Relevant qualification in Agriculture, Plantation Management, Agronomy, or a related field; practical experience in palm oil plantations is an advantage.
  • Capacity to work on-site in Tawau, adapt to field conditions, and maintain a hands-on, solution-oriented approach.
  • Familiarity with basic digital tools for documentation and communication; willingness to learn industry-specific systems and methodologies.
