Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Audit Associate to lead and execute complex audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role is ideal for experienced audit professionals looking to elevate their career, take on end-to-end engagement management, and mentor junior team members within a structured, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and finalization of statutory audit engagements in compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct advanced audit fieldwork, perform complex testing, review working papers, and draft comprehensive financial statements and audit reports.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing communications, obtaining crucial audit evidence, and resolving complex technical accounting/auditing issues.
- Supervise, review the work of, and mentor junior audit associates, providing guidance on audit procedures and professional development.
- Ensure all audit assignments adhere to strict quality control standards, internal risk management policies, and tight client deadlines.
- Manage multiple engagement lifecycles simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources efficiently.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., ACCA or equivalent partially/fully completed).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive audit experience in a public accounting firm.
- Knowledge of Malaysian auditing standards and regulations
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail.
- Proven ability to lead audit teams, delegate effectively, and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (proficiency in both is essential for client engagement).
- High level of integrity, strong time management, and a commitment to maintaining technical excellence and continuous professional growth.
