Junior Account / Finance Executive (Career Growth Role)

About the Role

Are you an ambitious accounting professional looking for a role with a clear path for career progression? We are seeking a proactive, tech-savvy Junior Account Executive to manage our internal day-to-day financial operations, and treasury functions.

In this role, you will process daily cash receipts and payments, maintain credit control, process supplier payments, and work directly with our management team as well as our appointed external chartered accounting firm. This is an ideal position for someone who wants to sharpen their operational accounting and finance skills, learn from senior industry professionals, and grow into taking over full-set accounting responsibilities in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Credit Control & Accounts Receivable: Actively monitor customer aging reports, follow up on outstanding invoices, and systematically chase overdue payments from clients to ensure healthy, prompt cash collections.
• Treasury & Daily Operations: Monitor daily bank balances, process vendor payments, and keep overall operational cash flow running smoothly.
• Payroll Processing: Review monthly payroll summaries prepared by the HR department and execute accurate, timely salary and statutory payments.
• External Partner Liaison: Act as the primary internal liaison for our outsourced chartered accounting firm - assisting with documentation, verifying transaction postings, and facilitating smooth monthly closes and statutory compliance.
• Ad-Hoc Executive Support: Prepare ad-hoc reports, gather operational data, and assist management with strategic decision-making tasks as required.
• Process Automation: Utilise cloud-based accounting software to improve operational efficiency and streamline digital record-keeping.

What you bring to the Table

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent, with 1–2 years of hands-on experience (promising fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software (experience with AutoCount is an added advantage).
• Mindset: Highly proactive, persistent, and detail-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills for following up on collections and solving problems independently.
• Communication: Good written and spoken English with the confidence to communicate professionally with clients, internal teams, and directors.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
