Role Description: The Finance Internship at Teras Impiana is an urgent hiring contract role based in WP Kuala Lumpur with a full-time, on-site role. The intern will receive on-the-job training and gain hands-on experience while supporting daily tasks and projects. Interns will support the finance and accounting team with daily tasks such as assisting in the preparation and review of financial statements, recording transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities include helping with budget tracking, cost analysis, and financial reporting for engineering and infrastructure projects, as well as supporting invoice processing and basic reconciliation activities. Interns will also contribute to data collection and analysis for management reports, participate in documenting financial processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information. This role offers practical learning opportunities in corporate finance and accounting within a mission-critical, technology-focused business environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial data and perform basic financial analysis.
  • Foundational knowledge of finance concepts and exposure to financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and experience or coursework in bookkeeping or general accounting.
  • Effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication for internal stakeholders.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with accounting or ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks with guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn, take initiative, and collaborate respectfully in a diverse team setting.
