Pathgreen Energy is looking for a qualified Chargeman to support our Solar PV electrical works. The successful candidate may be assigned to either the Project Installation or Operation & Maintenance (O&M) department based on their experience, skills, and suitability.
The role involves supervising and carrying out electrical installation, testing, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Solar PV and related electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, testing, repair, and troubleshooting works.
- Install and maintain Solar PV systems, inverters, switchboards, and related electrical equipment.
- Perform AC/DC wiring, cable termination, panel connection, and grounding works.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for Solar PV systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot electrical faults and abnormalities.
- Inspect electrical equipment and conduct routine site and equipment checks.
- Work with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and Single-Line Diagrams (SLD).
- Assist with Solar PV installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
- Use electrical testing equipment to carry out inspection and troubleshooting.
- Ensure all works comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) requirements, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Prepare maintenance reports, checklists, and other required documentation.
- Travel to project and customer sites as required.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
Requirements
- Possess at least a valid Chargeman A1 competency certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga
- Relevant experience in electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, or commissioning is preferred.
- Solar PV experience is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of electrical systems and safety practices.
- Able to read electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
- Able to use electrical testing equipment.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to travel and work at different project/customer sites.
- Comfortable working outdoors and at heights.
- Responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work independently and in a team.
- Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation is an advantage.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,300.00 per month
