Job Description

We are looking for a Designer (Automotive) to support the design and development of automotive components and dies. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and updating designs, 3D models and technical drawings while working closely with Engineering, Production and Die/Tooling teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop automotive part and die designs according to engineering requirements.
• Create and modify 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using CATIA and/or SolidWorks.
• Support the design of dies, tooling and related components for automotive manufacturing.
• Review design requirements and ensure designs meet the required specifications and standards.
• Make necessary design modifications based on feedback from Engineering, Production, Quality and Die/Tooling teams.
• Prepare and maintain proper design drawings, 3D data and technical documentation.
• Follow up on design development from initial concept through to die fabrication / production.
• Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers regarding design and technical matters.
• Support troubleshooting and improvement activities related to dies, tooling and automotive components.
• Ensure all design data and documents are properly maintained and updated in the company's system.
• Perform other design-related duties as assigned by the superior.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Tool & Die Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Experience in automotive design, die design, tooling or manufacturing will be an advantage.
• Proficient in CATIA and/or SolidWorks.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of 3D modelling and 2D drafting.
• Computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office and engineering software.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently as well as with a team.
• Fresh graduates with relevant CATIA / SolidWorks and automotive design knowledge may also be considered.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,700.00 per month

Work Location: In person
