Library Materials Management Assistant x8

Salary: $15/hour (approximately $1,170/month)
Contract Duration: 3 months, subject to 2-month extension
️ Contract Period: November 2026 to January 2027
Working Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00am–5:00pm

Job Requirements

• GCE 'O' Level or GCE 'N' Level with a pass in English.
• Basic computer and IT knowledge, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and computer applications.
• Comfortable handling and carrying library materials.
• Able to meet required work output and work effectively as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities

• Validate received library materials against delivery orders and check that materials are in good condition.
• Process library materials, including pasting barcodes, inventorying items into the tracking system and creating item records.
• Shelve and retrieve books between bins and shelves.
• Check item records and perform data entry of selection forms and library system records.
• Sort and process physical materials for handover to the next process owners according to established guidelines.
• Assist with general administrative and operational support as assigned.
• Assist with transportation of materials when required.
• Receive and process approximately 800 volumes of purchased library items per day.
