Labuan International School (LIS) – Vacancy
Labuan International School (LIS) was established in January 1996, as an important infrastructure which provides private educational facilities to those working in Labuan International Business and Financial Centre (IBFC) and its surrounding areas.
LIS consists of three components, namely:
International School, with primary and secondary levels education based on the British National Curriculum for local and foreign students from age 7 to 16 (Year 7 to Year 11);
Sekolah Sri Labuan, a private school which offers the KSSR/KSSM or Malaysian Integrated Primary/Secondary School Curriculum;
Tadika Manjaria, an Early Childhood Education for children from age 4 years to 6 years.

Thus, we need individuals to join the organisation and to fill the vacant post as follows:
GOVERNANCE AND COMPLIANCE EXECUTIVEResponsibilities:
Support the implementation of the Governance & Compliance Unit's activities and workplan.
Conduct compliance reviews and assess compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, SOPs and internal requirements.
Review internal policies, SOPs, guidelines, manuals and circulars and identify potential compliance risks, control weaknesses and audit concerns.
Maintain and update the Compliance & Risk Register (CRR) and follow up with relevant units on outstanding actions.
Support the implementation and monitoring of the ABC Policy and Section 17A compliance requirements.
Support BRA, CRA and OACP activities, including coordination with relevant units and monitoring of agreed actions.
Monitor applicable MOE requirements, guidelines and circulars and communicate relevant requirements to the respective units.
Coordinate compliance training, integrity awareness programmes and related staff communications.
Prepare compliance and integrity awareness materials and maintain relevant records.
Maintain registers, documentation and records relating to governance, compliance, risk, integrity and assurance activities.
Assist in preparing reports, papers, analysis and supporting documents for MC and/or Board.
Coordinate with relevant units and stakeholders to obtain information and supporting evidence required for compliance monitoring and reviews.
Perform other governance, compliance and integrity-related duties assigned by the GCU Manager.
Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Compliance, or related field.
2–5 years of relevant experience in governance, compliance, risk management, internal audit, or related functions, preferably in a corporate or regulated environment.
Basic to good knowledge of corporate governance, compliance, internal controls and risk management.
Knowledge of relevant laws and frameworks, particularly the MACC Act 2009 (Section 17A), anti-bribery and corruption and integrity requirements.
Good analytical, documentation, report-writing and research skills.
Ability to review policies, SOPs and guidelines and identify compliance gaps, risks and control weaknesses.
Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work with different departments and stakeholders.
High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional ethics.
Ability to work independently while reporting to and supporting the GCU Manager.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
What We Offer:
Salary based on qualifications, experience and salary range below:
• Degree (Min-Max): RM 3,600 – RM 5,000
