Responsibilities
A Manicurist Consultant provides expert advice and personalized services to clients, enhancing their nail care routines and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. They combine technical nail care skills with consultation expertise to recommend products, treatments, and maintenance routines tailored to each client’s needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform professional manicure and pedicure services, including nail shaping, cuticle care, polish application, and hand/foot massages.
Assess clients’ nail health and recommend suitable treatments, products, and routines to maintain or improve nail condition.
Educate clients on proper nail care techniques and the use of recommended products.
Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
Stay updated on the latest nail care trends, techniques, and products.
Build strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
Promote and upsell nail care products and treatments to clients.
Keep detailed records of client preferences, treatments, and product recommendations.
Collaborate with salon staff to ensure a seamless client experience.
Attend training sessions and industry events to enhance skills and knowledge.
Prefer Skillset:
Proven experience as a manicurist or nail technician.
Strong knowledge of nail care products, tools, and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to assess client needs and provide tailored advice.
High standards of hygiene and sanitation.
Certification or licensing as required by local regulations.
Customer-focused attitude with a professional appearance.
Qualifications :
Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent; additional beauty or cosmetology certification preferred.
Licensing: Valid state or local cosmetology or nail technician license, as required by regulation.
Experience: Proven experience as a manicurist or nail technician, with a strong portfolio of nail care services.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in manicure, pedicure, nail art, and use of nail care tools and products.
Knowledge: Understanding of nail health, skin care, and recommended products and treatments.
Communication Skills: Excellent ability to educate clients and recommend suitable nail care routines and products.
Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, friendly attitude.
Hygiene Standards: Knowledge of sanitation and sterilization procedures.
Additional Skills: Sales and consultation skills are a plus, especially for promoting products and treatments.
Experience in beauty consulting or sales.
Knowledge of skincare and health-related topics related to nail care.
Ability to perform additional beauty treatments (e.g., hand/foot massage, paraffin treatments).
