Retail Manager – Job Scope

1. Retail Operations

   • Oversee the day-to-day operations of retail stores and ensure smooth business operations.

   • Ensure stores are clean, well-organised, and properly maintained.

   • Monitor product displays, pricing, promotions, and stock availability.

   • Ensure company policies and operating procedures are followed.

2. Sales & Business Development

   • Lead the retail team to achieve monthly and yearly sales targets.

   • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.

   • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue.

   • Support promotional campaigns, product launches, and retail events.

   • Identify opportunities to improve sales and customer conversion.

3. Staff Management

   • Supervise, motivate, and manage retail sales staff.

   • Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate manpower coverage.

   • Conduct staff training, coaching, and performance evaluations.

   • Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, and work performance.

   • Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new retail employees.

4. Customer Service

   • Ensure customers receive professional and high-quality service.

   • Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service issues.

   • Assist staff in resolving difficult customer situations.

   • Maintain strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat business.

5. Inventory Management

   • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse team for replenishment.

   • Conduct regular stock checks and investigate discrepancies.

   • Ensure proper handling and storage of products.

   • Monitor slow-moving and fast-moving products.

6. Reporting & Administration

   • Prepare regular sales and retail performance reports for management.

   • Monitor store expenses and ensure proper use of company resources.

   • Maintain accurate records of sales, stock, staff performance, and other retail activities.

   • Coordinate with Finance, Warehouse, Customer Service, and Management when required.

7. Compliance & Safety

   • Ensure all retail operations comply with company policies and relevant Singapore regulations.

   • Maintain workplace safety and store security.

   • Ensure proper handling of cash, company property, and customer information.
