Business Analysis & Planning Intern
As a Business Analysis & Planning Intern, you will support the team in analysing sales, inventory, customer behaviour, and business performance to support effective planning and decision-making. You will work closely with Merchandising, Sales, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory levels, Stock on Hand (SOH), stock aging, sell-through, and identify low-stock, overstock, and slow-moving items.
- Track Purchase Orders (POs), delivery schedules, and supplier fulfilment.
- Support stock allocation and replenishment planning across stores.
- Collect and analyse sales, inventory, and operational data to identify trends and business opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate sales performance for promotions, PWP/GWP campaigns, and weekly deals.
- Analyse buying, receiving, stock on hand, and sales data to identify stock efficiency and potential issues.
- Track membership and subscription activities and analyse customer purchasing patterns.
- Prepare weekly reports, dashboards, and analysis for management and cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate with Merchandising, Sales, Supply Chain, and suppliers to follow up on stock-related matters.
- Perform other analysis and planning tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong interest in business analysis, data, inventory management, and retail operations.
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTable, charts, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of data analysis, forecasting, or SQL is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced working environment.
