Job Summary

KDI Garments Sdn Bhd is looking for a Printing & Sublimation Coordinator to coordinate and manage the daily workflow of our Printing and Sublimation Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing production job sheets, prioritizing jobs, assigning tasks to team members and ensuring that Printing, Sublimation and Heat Press jobs are completed according to production deadlines.

This role requires a hands-on individual with practical printing knowledge, good communication skills and basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator (AI) to check and prepare artwork for production.

The candidate will work closely with the Production Supervisor, Production Controller, Designer and Printing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and manage production job sheets involving Printing, Sublimation and Heat Press.
• Prioritize jobs according to production deadlines and production requirements.
• Assign jobs to the appropriate team members and monitor progress.
• Coordinate daily workflow between Printing, Sublimation and Heat Press.
• Coordinate with the Printing Specialist for block preparation and silk screen printing.
• Operate sublimation printing equipment when required.
• Check artwork, sizing, layout and basic colour requirements before production.
• Use Adobe Illustrator (AI) for basic artwork checking and editing when required.
• Coordinate with the Designer team regarding artwork, mockups and production requirements.
• Monitor printing and sublimation quality and ensure output meets specifications.
• Ensure completed jobs are properly handed over to the next production process.
• Identify production bottlenecks and take action to prevent delays.
• Monitor printing materials, inks, sublimation paper and other production supplies.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate machine maintenance when required.
• Communicate job progress, issues and delays to the Production Supervisor / PC.
• Guide and assist General Workers assigned to Printing, Sublimation and Heat Press.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment.
• Assist in improving workflow, productivity and efficiency within the department.

Requirements

• Previous experience in printing, silk screen, sublimation, heat press or garment production.
• Basic knowledge and working experience with Adobe Illustrator (AI) is required.
• Able to open, check and perform basic edits to artwork in Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience in silk screen / block printing is an advantage.
• Experience operating sublimation printing equipment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of artwork sizing, layout, colour and printing requirements.
• Able to understand production job sheets and follow production specifications.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Able to prioritize and coordinate multiple production jobs.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment.
• Experience in garment or apparel manufacturing is an added advantage.

Working Conditions

• Monday to Friday
• 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Overtime may be required depending on production requirements and deadlines.
• Hands-on role within the production environment.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
