The Karim Family Foundation is a grant-making philanthropy dedicated to uplifting the disenfranchised. We seek to build a world where every individual is given the equal opportunity to achieve their full potential.
The foundation began as an endeavour by Mr Bachtiar Karim and Mdm Dewi Sukwanto to formalise family efforts to give back to the causes that matter to the family. We focus our efforts on making an impact within our four core pillars: Sports Development, Education, Arts & Culture and Mental Health.
In 2023, the Karim Family Foundation became a qualifying grantmaker registered with IRAS.

Join our philanthropic foundation as a Digital Marketing & Branding Intern, where you will play a key role in establishing and maintaining our online presence. You will help to define and refine the foundation’s brand positioning, develop and implement guidelines to ensure a consistent image that effectively communicates our core pillars of impact.

Because of the dynamic and growing nature of our foundation and the wider group of companies, you understand that being open and flexible is essential to the learning journey. You have a growth mindset, bring positive energy to the team, and is able to work independently with self-direction.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating and maintaining social media accounts to engage audiences and promote our mission. Platforms might include Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok
• Creating a new mode of public engagement by showcasing our historic property
• Managing and updating our website with fresh content and events
• Assisting with branding initiatives, including designing visuals and refining the identity of the foundation
• Supporting all marketing and communications matters promptly and professionally
• Assisting with general and administrative work where required

We are looking for someone with a good command of English, a keen eye for design and UX, and a passion for storytelling. This is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while building your digital marketing portfolio.

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Meticulous, organized, thoughtful, independent and resourceful

• Possess a keen attitude towards learning and is comfortable working in a fluid and dynamic environment
• Proficient in commonly used software including Microsoft Office, Trello and generative AI tools. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and other video editing software will be an added advantage
• Comfortable to work irregular hours to support event operations occasionally or when required
• Availability and Commitment: Preferably 6 to 12 months
