Job Description

Responsibilities

Company Description Green Environmental Engineering Group (GEE) is a Malaysia-based environmental engineering company focused on innovative, sustainable solutions for a cleaner, greener future. Headquartered in Johor Bahru with offices in Klang and Singapore, GEE serves clients across Southeast Asia with customized engineering and environmental services. The company delivers end-to-end solutions in solid and hazardous waste treatment, biomass conversion, activated carbon systems, and air and water treatment, from design and consultancy through installation and after-sales support. GEE also provides carbon capture and ESG advisory, helping industries transition toward environmentally responsible operations and participate in voluntary carbon markets. Certified to ISO 14001:2015 and 9001:2015, GEE combines global standards with local solutions to drive a low-carbon, resource-efficient economy.

Role Description The Senior Process Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in our office at Klang, responsible for leading the design, optimization, and implementation of environmental engineering processes across GEE’s core service areas. This role oversees process development for waste treatment, biomass conversion, air and water treatment, and activated carbon systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Day-to-day tasks include performing process simulations and calculations, developing PFDs and P&IDs, guiding process control strategies, and supporting equipment selection and system integration. The Senior Process Engineer collaborates closely with project managers, multidisciplinary engineers, and clients to translate technical requirements into practical solutions, troubleshoot operational issues, and provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and performance testing. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting ESG and carbon reduction projects through robust process engineering input.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Process Engineering and Chemical Engineering, with proven experience in industrial or environmental process applications.
  • Proficiency in Process Design and Process Control, including development of process flow diagrams, control strategies, and performance optimization.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills for data analysis, troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and process performance evaluation.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Aspen, HYSYS, or equivalent) and familiarity with relevant industrial and environmental regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of waste-to-energy, biomass conversion, air and water treatment, or carbon capture systems is highly beneficial.
  • Commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement in engineering practices.
