Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and experienced Video Editor Lead to lead our video content planning and production. This role will be responsible for developing content ideas, managing the video production process, ensuring content quality, and guiding junior team members to deliver engaging and on-brand content.
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Planning & Creative Direction
- Plan and develop monthly/weekly video content calendars based on marketing objectives, campaigns, product launches, and social media trends.
- Generate creative content ideas and develop concepts suitable for TikTok, Instagram Reels, e-commerce, campaigns, and other digital platforms.
- Develop video storyboards, scripts, shot lists, and content directions where required.
- Work closely with the Marketing, Brand, and Creative teams to align content with overall campaign objectives.
- Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to create engaging and relevant video content.
Video Production & Editing
- Lead the end-to-end video production process, from planning and shooting to editing and final delivery.
- Edit high-quality videos while maintaining strong storytelling, pacing, visual quality, and brand consistency.
- Conduct and guide video shoots, including camera setup, framing, lighting, and basic production direction.
- Review and approve video content before publishing to ensure quality and consistency.
- Manage multiple video projects and ensure all content is delivered according to the agreed timeline.
Team Leadership & Development
- Guide, coach, and mentor junior video editors and content creators.
- Provide constructive feedback and creative direction to improve the team's editing and content quality.
- Review junior team members' work and ensure it meets the required creative and technical standards.
- Assign and coordinate video projects within the team based on workload and priorities.
- Share knowledge, editing techniques, content trends, and best practices with junior team members.
Project & Asset Management
- Coordinate with internal teams, talents, photographers, agencies, and external vendors when required.
- Organise and maintain video footage, project files, templates, and other digital assets.
- Ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of all video projects.
- Perform other creative and ad hoc tasks assigned by management.
Requirements- Diploma/Degree in Multimedia, Video Production, Film, Digital Media, Creative Design, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant video editing/content creation experience, with leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or equivalent editing software.
- Strong understanding of video storytelling, pacing, transitions, sound design, colour grading, and motion graphics.
- Strong creative sense with an understanding of social media content and current video trends.
- Good leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects and work within tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Portfolio/showreel demonstrating previous video editing and content production work is required.
