Training & Development Manager

Location: Central

Duration: 1-Year Contract

Salary: Up to S$7,500 per month (commensurate with experience)

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Training &Development Manager to lead learning initiatives, enhance workforce capabilities, and support operational excellence. This role is responsible for developing training strategies, managing a training team, partnering with stakeholders, and ensuring employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Director in achieving overall operational and service performance objectives.
• Lead and manage a training team through effective workforce planning, coaching, performance management, and resource allocation.
• Develop and implement strategic training plans and learning frameworks to ensure successful onboarding and capability development.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for training methodologies, providing recommendations to enhance training content, materials, processes, and delivery approaches.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to identify training needs, performance gaps, and development opportunities.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align training objectives with business requirements.
• Design and develop training programmes, lesson plans, assessment frameworks, and success measurement metrics.
• Work closely with business units and quality teams to address performance issues, implement learning solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
• Deliver training sessions, workshops, and coaching programmes as required to support operational needs.
• Prepare timely reports and training performance updates for management and stakeholders.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to trainers and team members to elevate training standards and capabilities.
• Lead talent development initiatives, including performance reviews, succession planning, employee recognition, and retention strategies.
• Monitor training effectiveness and implement improvements to support evolving business requirements.
• Perform other ad hoc duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree in Business, Human Resources, Learning & Development, Education, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in training and development, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
• Proven experience managing service delivery standards, performance metrics, and operational outcomes.
• Candidates with substantial relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal academic qualifications.
• ACTA, ACLP, or equivalent training certifications are preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative training solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, planning, and project management capabilities with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
