Responsibilities
Onsite supervision
: Managing and coordinating the daily activities of pipefitters, welders, and other installation teams.
Safety enforcement
: Conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to enforce health, safety, and environment protocols.
Quality control
: Inspecting all work to ensure it meets technical specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Planning and scheduling
: Preparing work plans, allocating manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
Drawing interpretation
: Reviewing and interpreting technical documents, such as piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and isometric drawings, and providing guidance to the crew.
Coordination and communication
: Liaising with project managers, other supervisors, and clients to resolve issues and ensure seamless project execution.
Reporting and documentation
: Preparing and submitting daily progress reports, managing 'as-built' sketches, and overseeing documentation for quality assurance.
Testing and commissioning
: Supporting and overseeing the preparation and execution of system tests, such as hydrostatic and pneumatic tests.
