Why This Role Matters

As a Care Support Associate, you play an important role insupporting the daily operations of the hospital and ensuring a safe, clean, andefficient environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare teams. You willassist with patient-related support services, equipment and suppliesmanagement, operational activities, and administrative tasks to support thedelivery of quality care. Your contribution helps healthcare professionalsfocus on clinical care while ensuring smooth departmental operations.

What You Will Drive

Patient Care & Support

• Support patient care activities under thesupervision of healthcare professionals.
• Assist patients with basic non-clinical needswhere appropriate.
• Support patient transfers, transportation, andmovement within the hospital.
• Ensure patient areas are maintained in a clean,safe, and organised manner.
• Provide courteous and professional assistance topatients, visitors, and staff.

Operational & Administrative Support

• Assist in the preparation, replenishment, andorganization of supplies and equipment.
• Support inventory management and stockreplenishment activities.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are readilyavailable and properly stored.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation asrequired.
• Assist with administrative and coordinationactivities to support departmental operations.

Equipment & Resource Management

• Ensure equipment is cleaned, checked, andmaintained according to established procedures.
• Report faulty, damaged, or missing equipmentpromptly.
• Support preparation of equipment, carts,trolleys, and work areas for operational needs.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels accordingto departmental requirements.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Follow departmental policies, procedures, andwork instructions.
• Adhere to infection prevention and workplacesafety standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient andorganisational information.
• Promote a safe, clean, and organised workenvironment.
• Escalate incidents, hazards, or operationalconcerns appropriately.

Teamwork & Collaboration

• Work closely with nurses, allied healthprofessionals, support staff, and other healthcare teams.
• Support departmental activities and serviceimprovement initiatives.
• Participate actively in team meetings,briefings, and training programmes.
• Perform additional duties assigned bysupervisors in support of operational needs.

Learning & Development

• Participate in orientation, on-the-job training,and continuous learning programmes.
• Maintain competency requirements relevant to therole.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn new skills andadapt to evolving operational needs.

What You Bring

Education & Experience

• Minimum Secondary School education, GCE N/OLevels, ITE Certificate, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or equivalent.
• Relevant healthcare, service, operations,logistics, hospitality, or customer service experience is advantageous.
• Prior experience in a healthcare environment ispreferred but not mandatory.
