Role Description

The Manager, Program Management is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing digital transformation programmes and strategic projects to support the Group’s digital transformation agenda.

Based within the Digital Transformation Department, the role oversees programme planning, project governance, resource coordination, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and benefits realization. The role ensures assigned programmes are delivered within the approved scope, budget, quality standards, and timelines.


The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, project sponsors, technology teams, implementation partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure effective programme execution and organizational readiness for change.


Key Responsibilities

Programme Planning and Execution

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage digital transformation programmes and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop programme plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
  • Ensure programme objectives are aligned with business priorities and digital transformation goals.
  • Monitor programme execution, delivery progress, and overall performance.


Project Governance

  • Apply Project Management Office standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks across assigned programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with project management policies, processes, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain programme documentation, project charters, governance records, and status reports.
  • Coordinate stage-gate reviews, project approvals, and governance meetings.


Stakeholder Management

  • Engage business stakeholders, project sponsors, technology teams, and delivery partners throughout the programme lifecycle.
  • Facilitate project meetings, steering committee meetings, and programme progress reviews.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain effective communication plans.
  • Promote collaboration and alignment across cross-functional teams.


Resource and Budget Coordination

  • Coordinate programme resources across internal teams and external vendors.
  • Monitor programme budgets, expenditure, and resource utilization.
  • Identify resource constraints and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Support procurement, sourcing, and vendor engagement activities.


Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management

  • Identify and monitor programme risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Develop mitigation actions and contingency plans.
  • Escalate critical risks and issues to management when necessary.
  • Monitor the resolution of risks and issues throughout programme delivery.


Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track programme Key Performance Indicators, milestones, deliverables, and outcomes.
  • Prepare management dashboards, programme updates, and progress reports.
  • Monitor benefits realization and the achievement of intended business outcomes.
  • Recommend corrective actions when programme performance deviates from agreed plans


Change and Business Readiness

  • Coordinate business readiness activities ahead of solution implementation.
  • Support organizational change management initiatives.
  • Facilitate user readiness, communication, training coordination, and transition planning.
  • Support the successful adoption and integration of delivered solutions.


Vendor and Contract Coordination

  • Coordinate programme activities with implementation partners, consultants, and vendors.
  • Monitor vendor deliverables against contractual obligations and agreed timelines.
  • Review project deliverables for quality, completeness, and alignment with programme requirements.
  • Support vendor and contract performance reviews.


Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and lessons-learned sessions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve programme delivery processes and governance practices.
  • Recommend enhancements to project management methodologies, tools, and reporting.
  • Promote programme and project management best practices across the organization.


Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead programme teams and coordinate cross-functional project resources.
  • Guide project managers, coordinators, and team members in delivering assigned initiatives.
  • Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Support capability development within the Transformation Management function.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in programme management, project management, digital transformation, business transformation, or a related function, including at least 2 years in a project leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional programmes, technology implementation projects, and business change initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience in project governance, budgeting, resource planning, risk management, vendor coordination, performance reporting, and benefits realization.
  • Proficiency in project management and reporting tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, or Power BI.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple programmes, competing priorities, and complex dependencies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, MSP, or Lean Six Sigma would be an added advantage.
