Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure, primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or Google Cloud deployment tools.
• Manage and optimize cloud environments across GCP, AWS, and Azure, ensuring high availability, performance, reliability, and security.
• Automate cloud operations, infrastructure provisioning, and operational workflows using Python, Bash, or Go, together with configuration and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated application deployment and infrastructure delivery.
• Implement and manage cloud monitoring, logging, and observability solutions, and participate in incident investigation and response to ensure system reliability.
• Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, service accounts, encryption, vulnerability management, and secure cloud configurations.
• Design and manage cloud networking components including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity.
• Monitor cloud usage and implement cost optimization strategies to improve resource utilization and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with development, DevOps, security, and other technical teams to support application deployments and troubleshoot cloud-related issues.
• Integrate cloud services with internal and external systems through GCP APIs and other integration mechanisms.
• Explore and support the adoption of AI-powered solutions, AI Agents, and workflow automation, including technologies such as MCP, A2A, Vertex AI, and Gemini where applicable.
• Maintain clear technical documentation covering cloud architecture, infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and operational procedures.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend new technologies, automation, and engineering practices to improve infrastructure efficiency and agility.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or a related role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and BigQuery.
• Strong experience with Terraform; experience with OpenTofu or GCP Deployment Manager is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with CI/CD and Git-based development workflows, preferably with GCP-native tools such as Cloud Build and Artifact Registry.
• Good understanding of cloud security, IAM, service accounts, encryption, vulnerability management, and security best practices.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, observability, and incident response, preferably using GCP's Operations Suite.
• Experience working with GCP APIs and integrating cloud services with external systems.
• Understanding of AI Agents and AI-enabled workflow automation is preferred, with exposure to MCP, A2A, Vertex AI, Gemini, or related technologies being an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high degree of ownership.
• Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer are preferred.
