Job Description

We are looking for a competent and responsible Chargeman A4 to support our electrical, solar PV, maintenance and project operations.

You will be responsible for ensuring electrical installations and equipment are operated, inspected and maintained safely, efficiently and in accordance with company and regulatory requirements. The role will also provide technical support for the Company’s ongoing projects, including TM-related works.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect and maintain electrical installations and equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and carry out necessary rectification works.
• Monitor electrical switchboards, distribution boards, protection systems and related equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify electrical or safety issues.
• Assist in testing, commissioning and energisation activities.
• Support electrical and solar PV projects, including site inspection and technical coordination.
• Supervise and monitor electrical works carried out by technicians, contractors and subcontractors.
• Ensure electrical works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and safety requirements.
• Assist with shutdown, isolation, restoration and electrical maintenance activities.
• Maintain inspection records, maintenance reports, checklists and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, project teams, contractors, suppliers and clients where required.
• Attend electrical breakdowns and urgent technical issues when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and relevant electrical requirements.

TM Project Support

As part of the role, you may also be required to support the Company’s ongoing TM project operations, including:

• Attend TM project sites for inspection, troubleshooting and technical support.
• Troubleshoot electrical and meter-related faults.
• Inspect, test and diagnose faulty meters, wiring and associated electrical components.
• Carry out meter repair, replacement or rectification works where required.
• Perform electrical testing and verification after repair or replacement.
• Assist in identifying root causes of technical faults and recommend corrective actions.
• Support site installation, testing, commissioning and rectification activities.
• Attend technical complaints, breakdowns and urgent site issues.
• Prepare service reports, troubleshooting findings, photographs and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with TM representatives, project teams, technicians and subcontractors.
• Verify completed works before submission or project handover.
• Travel to multiple project sites and outstation locations when required.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) Chargeman A4 Competency Certificate.
• Certificate / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field is an advantage.
• Relevant experience in electrical maintenance, industrial facilities, buildings or project environments is preferred.
• Strong hands-on electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with electrical switchboards, distribution systems, cabling and protection systems.
• Experience in meter troubleshooting, repair or replacement is an added advantage.
• Able to read and understand electrical drawings and Single Line Diagrams (SLD).
• Able to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical safety, isolation, testing and maintenance procedures.
• Exposure to solar PV, telco, utility or energy projects will be an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and respond to technical issues efficiently.
• Good communication, coordination and reporting skills.
• Willing to travel to project sites and attend outstation assignments when required.
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transport is preferred.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
