Job Description

Responsibilities

As a Sales Manager, you will lead the CX Team's sales function- managing your own Client portfolio across the Company’s products, while supervising and developing the Sales Executive Team to hit both individual and Team sales targets.

Your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Manage and strengthen Client relationships across Company’s products to enhance overall customer experience, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Lead and support business development initiatives, including prospecting, lead follow-ups, Client engagement activities, and sales presentations, for own portfolio and in coordination with the Business Development Director.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities between the Company’s products, to maximise Client value.
  • Contribute towards revenue generation and business growth, working towards Annual Sales Targets, covering both own portfolio and team performance.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through incoming enquiries, cold calling, networking, referrals, events, and market research.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and contracts, including TOBs, Addendums, and Renewal Agreements, reviewing terms for commercial and legal risk exposure before closing.
  • Conduct Client meetings, product briefings, and solution discussions to understand customer pain points and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Onboard new Clients, including the setting up of their accounts in our systems, confirming billing instructions and introduction to the Service Delivery Team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and Departments to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities with the Marketing Team, and sharing Client feedback to support sales strategy and improve business positioning.
  • Own Client retention efforts, identifying lapsed or at-risk accounts and leading win-back conversations, starting with highest-revenue accounts; monitor Client account balances and expiries to drive timely top-ups and/or payments.

Team Leadership (People Management)

  • Supervise, coach, and manage the day-to-day performance of the Sales Executive(s), including allocation and monitoring of Client portfolios across the team.
  • Review and quality-check of Sales Executives' quotations, contracts, and Client correspondences to ensure timely and accurate response rate.
  • Track team KPIs and hold regular check-ins; identify and address performance or capability gaps, and act as escalation point for Executives on complex negotiations, pricing exceptions, or Client issues.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new Sales Executives or supporting roles for the CX Department.

Reporting & Governance

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, Client communications, pipeline updates, and follow-up actions in reporting systems.
  • Ensure Team-wide records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide regular pipeline, conversion, and retention reporting to the Business Development Director.
  • Support ad hoc initiatives, such as marketing campaigns and due diligence support, and other cross-departmental projects as assigned.

Systems:

  • Drive execution and alignment of system changes, working internally with IT/Product, Service Delivery, and the Sales team, and externally with vendors and platform partners as needed.
  • Communicate system changes to the Team and ensure adoption, flagging any gaps between how a system is designed and how it is implemented in the sales process.

Who are we looking for:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of sales experience, preferably in B2B sales, corporate services, SaaS, HR solutions, compliance, or related industries, including prior experience managing or mentoring a Team.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills; comfortable identifying commercial/legal risk in agreements.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets while managing corporate accounts and overseeing others' performance.
  • Confident in conducting presentations, Client meetings, and business discussions.
  • Good understanding of customer needs, sales cycles, and account management.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and basic sales reporting tools.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
  • No prior Background Check experience required.

What you'll enjoy:

  • Physical Wellbeing: Medical benefits.
  • Emotional Wellbeing: Monthly employee engagement activities.
  • Financial Wellbeing: Upskilling and career development opportunities.
