Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of hot food items (e.g., pasta, sandwiches, rice bowls, soups) according to café recipes and quality standards.
• Bake or prepare pastries, desserts, and baked goods such as cakes, muffins, cookies, and tarts.
• Plan daily food preparation based on menu and customer demand.
• Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and prevent wastage.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including proper handling of food and compliance with safety standards.
• Assist in menu planning, costing, and seasonal food development.
• Monitor inventory and assist in ordering kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Ensure all food items are presented attractively and served at the correct temperature.
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure smooth food service operations.
• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in both hot kitchen and pastry preparation, preferably in a café or casual dining setting.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Creativity in food presentation and new menu ideas.
• Strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays, depending on café operation hours.
