We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety & Health Officer (SHO) to oversee and support occupational safety and health matters for our ID Fit-Out Showroom Project in Shah Alam, Selangor.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that site activities are carried out safely and in compliance with applicable occupational safety and health requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with site safety and health requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
- Implement and monitor appropriate safety control measures.
- Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and site safety inductions.
- Maintain and update safety-related documentation, reports, and records.
- Coordinate with project management, contractors, subcontractors, and workers on safety and health matters.
- Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure proper safety practices are followed.
- Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions where required.
- Provide advice and recommendations to the project team on safety and health matters.
- Perform other safety-related duties as required for the project.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma / Bac Degree in Safety & Health
- Registered and qualified Safety & Health Officer (SHO) in accordance with applicable Malaysian requirements.
- Must possess a valid SHO 'Yellow Book'.
- Valid CIDB registration and relevant CIDB certification/card are required.
- Relevant experience in construction, interior fit-out, renovation, or related projects is preferred.
- Good knowledge of occupational safety and health practices and applicable regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and monitor site activities effectively.
- Willing to be based at the project site in Shah Alam, Selangor.
- Available to commit to the full 4-month contract period ( till year end)
Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
