Why This Role Matters
As a Care Support Associate, you play an important role insupporting the daily operations of the hospital and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare teams. You willassist with patient-related support services, equipment and supplies management, operational activities, and administrative tasks to support the delivery of quality care. Your contribution helps healthcare professionals focus on clinical care while ensuring smooth departmental operations.
What You Will Drive
Patient Care & Support
Support patient care activities under thesupervision of healthcare professionals.
Assist patients with basic non-clinical needswhere appropriate.
Support patient transfers, transportation, andmovement within the hospital.
Ensure patient areas are maintained in a clean,safe, and organised manner.
Provide courteous and professional assistance topatients, visitors, and staff.
Operational & Administrative Support
Assist in the preparation, replenishment, and organization of supplies and equipment.
Support inventory management and stock replenishment activities.
Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available and properly stored.
Maintain accurate records and documentation asrequired.
Assist with administrative and coordination activities to support departmental operations.
Equipment & Resource Management
Ensure equipment is cleaned, checked, and maintained according to established procedures.
Report faulty, damaged, or missing equipment promptly.
Support preparation of equipment, carts, trolleys, and work areas for operational needs.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels according to departmental requirements.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Follow departmental policies, procedures, andwork instructions.
Adhere to infection prevention and workplace safety standards.
Maintain confidentiality of patient and organisational information.
Promote a safe, clean, and organised work environment.
Escalate incidents, hazards, or operational concerns appropriately.
Teamwork & Collaboration
Work closely with nurses, allied health professionals, support staff, and other healthcare teams.
Support departmental activities and service improvement initiatives.
Participate actively in team meetings, briefings, and training programmes.
Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors in support of operational needs.
Learning & Development
Participate in orientation, on-the-job training, and continuous learning programmes.
Maintain competency requirements relevant to therole.

What You Bring
Education & Experience
Minimum Secondary School education, GCE N/OLevels, ITE Certificate, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or equivalent.
Relevant healthcare, service, operations,logistics, hospitality, or customer service experience is advantageous.
Prior experience in a healthcare environment is preferred but not mandatory.
Basic computer literacy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong teamwork and customer serviceorientation.
Responsible, reliable, and attentive to detail.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Willingness to learn and adapt.
Able to work independently and as part of ateam.

Woodlands Hospital (WH) provides care for the Northern population in Singapore and is designed to ensure seamless transition of care, promote health, and encourage community integration.
Spanning an area covering 7.66 hectares, WH includes an integrated acute and community hospital with a 1,000-bed capacity offering the full range of healthcare services encompassing acute, sub-acute, rehabilitative and transitional care. Provisions are in place to expand to a total of 1,400 beds to meet future needs. Along with other specialist services at the Medical Centre, WH operates the Women’s Health & Specialist Centre and Children’s Clinic for women and children in the North. The premises also house 400 beds in its long-term care facilities and is fully integrated with the 1.5-ha Woodlands Healing Garden.
