Regional Business Analyst, APAC


The Regional Business Analyst is responsible for providing strategic market intelligence, demand validation, forecasting insights and commercial analytics to support profitable growth within the Aroma Molecules business. This role serves as a key business partner to the Regional VP Sales and the regional commercial organisation by translating market data, customer insights, industry trends and supply-demand dynamics into actional business recommendations.

The role also supports S&OP, business planning, profitability analysis, pricing strategy and portfolio optimisation while partnering with Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain, Finance and Global Market Intelligence teams to drive data-led decision-making and continuous improvement in analytics and reporting.


The Position:

  • Develop and maintain regional market intelligence dashboards, analytical tools and reporting frameworks
  • Monitor market trends, customer demand patterns, competitive activities and pricing developments across key markets
  • Validate commercial demand assumptions across customers, products and market segments
  • Drive forecast accuracy improvements through data-driven analysis and actional insights
  • Support S&OP and business planning processes by providing independent demand insights and market perspectives
  • Conduct profitability analysis by customer, product and segment to support commercial decision-making
  • Support pricing strategy, portfolio reviews and business growth initiatives
  • Identify growth opportunities, market risks and portfolio optimisation initiatives
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain, Finance and Global Market Intelligence teams to align insights with business priorities
  • Drive continuous improvement in analytics methodologies, dashboard capabilities and reporting systems.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Data Analytics, Finance, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
  • Master’s degree or other advanced qualifications would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in market intelligence, commercial analytics, strategic marketing, demand planning, commercial excellence or related roles
  • Prior experience in specialty chemicals, ingredients, fragrances, flavors, aroma molecules or other related B2B industries would be preferred.
  • Strong exposure to regional market analysis, demand validation, pricing insights, profitability analysis and commercial planning
  • Prior exposure to supporting S&OP, sales growth initiatives, strategic projects and business planning processes would be advantageous
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI; Knowledge of SAP and Salesforce would be advantageous
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data and market insights into actional business recommendations
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation and influencing skills
  • Comfortable working in a regional/global matrix environment and able to challenge assumptions constructively
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, curious and able to identify opportunities, risks and improvement areas
  • Experience with predictive analytics, AI-enabled tools or digital analytics platforms would be advantageous
