Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed designs and plans for road construction projects, including layout, grading, drainage, and pavement structure, using engineering software and tools to create and review design models and simulations
  • Conduct site assessments to gather data and evaluate site conditions for informed project planning
  • Oversee construction processes to ensure timely completion, budget adherence, and compliance with quality standards
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve issues promptly
  • Monitor project progress, identify delays or problems, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and quality
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards
  • Conduct inspections and audits to verify adherence to design specifications and safety protocols
  • Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams and stakeholders, reviewing and approving construction plans, material specifications, and engineering calculations
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including records of progress, changes, delays, and financial expenditures
  • Prepare and present reports on project status, issues, and performance metrics to management and stakeholders
  • Address and resolve technical and operational challenges during construction by collaborating with engineers and professionals to develop innovative solutions
