Role Description The Site Coordinator (HDD & Mill Pave) is a full-time, on-site position based in Shah Alam, responsible for coordinating and supervising Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) and mill-and-pave activities on electrical and infrastructure projects. The role involves planning daily work schedules, organizing resources, and ensuring that work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. The Site Coordinator monitors progress, manages subcontractors and site personnel, conducts site inspections, and prepares basic reports and updates for the project team. The position requires regular communication with project managers, engineers, clients, and authorities to resolve site issues and keep works on track. The Site Coordinator also ensures compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience coordinating on-site construction activities, preferably in HDD, road works, or mill-and-pave operations.
- Solid understanding of civil engineering and electrical infrastructure works, including reading technical drawings and method statements.
- Strong site supervision skills, including resource planning, work sequencing, and subcontractor management.
- Commitment to workplace safety, health, and environmental standards, with the ability to enforce site safety procedures.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams, clients, and authorities.
- Basic reporting and documentation skills, including daily site logs, progress reports, and issue tracking.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and make timely decisions in a fast-paced site environment.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in utility installation, road construction, or infrastructure projects in Malaysia is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Shah Alam and, when required, at nearby project locations.
