Veterinary Nursing Intern - Housecall Pet Care Jobs, Salary up to SGD 1,200 in PAWKIT PTE. LTD. Southeast (Singapore) - Maukerja

Pawkit provides veterinary and pet care services directly in pet owners' homes. We are looking for a Veterinary Nursing Intern who is interested in animal care and keen to gain hands-on experience supporting our housecall veterinary and nursing services.

This is a mobile role, so you will travel between appointments and work with different pets, owners, nurses and veterinarians. You do not need to already be an experienced veterinary nurse, we are looking for someone who is responsible, comfortable around animals and willing to learn.

What You'll Do

• Accompany and assist with housecall veterinary and nursing appointments
• Assist with safe animal handling and restraint during procedures
• Support nurses/veterinarians with preparation of equipment and consumables
• Assist with basic nursing care under appropriate supervision
• Help with procedures such as subcutaneous fluids, medication administration, wound care, feeding support and sample collection, according to your training and level of competency
• Prepare, clean and organise medical equipment before and after appointments
• Maintain appropriate hygiene and infection-control standards
• Help monitor and document relevant information during appointments
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with pet owners
• Assist with stock, medication and consumables preparation
• Support other day-to-day veterinary/nursing operations where required

Requirements

• Genuine interest in animal care and veterinary nursing
• Valid driving licence and able to drive confidently in Singapore, as this is a housecall role
• Comfortable handling both dogs and cats
• Willing to learn animal handling and basic nursing techniques
• Responsible, punctual and able to work independently when required
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable travelling between appointments throughout the day
• Able to remain calm when working with nervous, unwell or difficult-to-handle animals
• Comfortable with blood, needles, wounds and other aspects of veterinary care
• Veterinary/nursing experience is not required; relevant studies or prior animal-care experience would be an advantage

What You'll Learn

You will gain practical exposure to mobile veterinary and nursing care, including animal handling, nursing procedures, medication and equipment preparation, client communication, appointment workflow and the operational side of delivering veterinary care in a housecall environment.

There may also be exposure to senior and palliative pet care, depending on the cases attended.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with animals, is willing to get hands-on, and wants to learn.
