Job Summary:

MSR Green Energy, a leading player in Malaysia’s RE sector, is seeking experienced Site Supervisors to be based at our 200 MWa.c. LSS5+ solar project in Bachok, Kelantan.

This is an 18-month contract position.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant site supervision experience, preferably in LSS, RE, infrastructure, or major construction projects.

The Site Supervisors will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities, coordinating contractors and subcontractors, monitoring workmanship and progress, and ensuring that all site works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, project schedules, and quality requirements.

This is a site-based role requiring strong coordination, supervision, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities in a fast-paced project environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise daily construction activities at the LSS5+ project site in Bachok, Kelantan

  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved construction drawings, technical specifications, method statements, project requirements, and applicable standards

  • Monitor the progress, productivity, and quality of works performed by contractors and subcontractors.

  • Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, engineers, QA / QC personnel, Safety team, contractors, and other site personnel to ensure smooth execution of works

  • Supervise site manpower, equipment, machinery, and construction activities to ensure efficient utilisation of resources

  • Monitor construction progress against the approved project schedule and promptly highlight any delays, constraints, or potential issues to the project management team

  • Assist in coordinating and resolving site technical issues, construction interfaces, access constraints, and other matters affecting project progress

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship complies with approved requirements and identify any defective, incomplete, or non-compliant works

  • Ensure contractors and subcontractors comply with the Project’s safety, health, environmental, and site management requirements

  • Coordinate material deliveries, storage, handling, and utilisation to support construction activities and minimise disruption or wastage

  • Maintain accurate daily records of site activities, manpower, machinery, weather conditions, progress, and significant site events

  • Assist in preparing daily and weekly construction progress reports for the project management team

  • Monitor rectification works, punch-list items, and outstanding construction activities through to satisfactory completion

  • Support testing, commissioning, and project close-out activities where required

  • Maintain effective working relationships with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, clients, authorities, and other relevant stakeholders at site

  • Carry out any other site supervision and project-related duties assigned by the Project Manager or Construction Manager

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or another relevant technical discipline

  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in site supervision, preferably involving LSS, RE, infrastructure, power, or major construction projects

  • Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, site procedures, and construction sequencing

  • Strong site supervision and coordination skills, with the ability to manage contractors and subcontractors effectively

  • Good understanding of construction safety requirements and site working practices

  • Ability to identify construction issues, delays, quality concerns, and site constraints and escalate them appropriately

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and perform effectively in a demanding site environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with construction reporting and documentation

  • Willingness and ability to be based full-time at the project site in Bachok, Kelantan for the duration of the assignment

  • Valid CIDB Yellow Book / Construction Personnel Registration or other applicable site competency certification
