Full Time Executive, Sales - Events (Conferences and Awards) Jobs, in Star Media Group Berhad Selangor - Maukerja

Are you a natural-born networker with a passion for bringing events to life? Star Media Group is looking for a dynamic Sales Executive to join our Events Business Unit!

As a key player in our events team, you will drive revenue by identifying new leads and closing deals for portfolios such as our Star Outstanding Business Awards (SOBA). You’ll act as a strategic partner to our clients, advising them on the best event solutions while ensuring seamless execution from processing award submissions to the final event day organising. This is a high-energy role where your sales grit meets creative event planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively research new leads, conduct cold calls, and pitch upcoming event packages to both new and existing clients to hit sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, agencies, and partners to ensure repeat success.
• Support the event lifecycle by managing A&P timelines, liaising with stakeholders (Ops, Marketing, Editorial), and overseeing on-site execution.
• Assist in crafting marketing plans across traditional and digital channels, including social media and programmatic advertising, to boost event visibility.
• Conduct research work to curate topics and handle topic ideation for the event talk sessions.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Events Management, Mass Communications, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of working experience in Sales and Events.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (for killer presentations) and comfortable with group presentations.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe software or multilingual abilities is a huge plus!
