Job Purpose

To support the Quantity Surveying team in cost management, quantity measurement, tender preparation, contract administration and other commercial activities related to construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in taking-off quantities and preparing Bills of Quantities (BQ).
• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets and cost comparisons for projects.
• Support the preparation and evaluation of tender documents and quotations.
• Assist in obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist in checking and verifying contractors’ claims, progress payments and variation orders.
• Assist in monitoring project costs against the approved budget.
• Assist in preparing cost reports and other QS-related reports.
• Maintain proper records of contracts, quotations, claims, variation orders and other project documentation.
• Assist in measurement and valuation of work completed at site.
• Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Procurement and Finance teams on commercial matters.
• Attend site meetings and inspections where required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the superior from time to time.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or QS-related software would be an advantage.
• Good analytical, numerical and communication skills.
• Willing to learn and work in a construction/project environment.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.
