Your role

Our major Oil & Energy Client is looking for Lab Chemical Analyst who will be responsible for supporting production and operational testing requirements. You will deliver accurate and timely analytical results to support operational decision-making.

• Initializes the implementation of new developments to further improve the laboratory support
• Performs complex analytical projects (including project proposals) in an effective way
• Challenges project proposals to make sure that deliverables are fit for purpose for operation
• Realizes ongoing improvements (efficiency and quality) of methods routinely applied
• Makes sure that the non-routine work to support operational units is fit for purpose
• Follows analytical developments inside and outside Business in area of expertise
• Maintain compliance with laboratory quality systems, testing procedures, and HSE requirements.

You are what we are looking for if you:

• Have minimum Polytechnic diploma or ITE qualification
• Have proven experience working in an analytical or chemical laboratory environment
• Have lab testing experience as this is primarily an operational and production-testing role rather than a position focused on chemical analysis or R&D
• Are familiar with laboratory testing methods, sample handling, and quality control procedures.
• Are able to interpret test results and communicate findings to operations and production stakeholders
• Have strong problem-solving and data interpretation skills
• Have good communication and stakeholder management skills
