Job Description
Responsibilities
Lead the design development of projects from concept, schematic design, and detailed design through to construction and completion.
Establish and maintain the overall design vision, quality, and technical standards of projects.
Translate design concepts into technically sound, buildable, and compliant solutions.
Review and coordinate architectural/design drawings, specifications, materials, and technical details.
Lead design coordination with structural, MEP, specialist, and other consultants.
Identify and resolve design and technical issues during design development and construction.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers and project team members.
Manage design deliverables, programme, priorities, and technical documentation.
Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, authority requirements, and project standards.
Work closely with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure design intent is successfully delivered.
Attend design coordination meetings, site meetings, inspections, and technical reviews as required.
Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples, mock-ups, and technical proposals.
Support value engineering and design optimisation while maintaining design quality and project objectives.
Identify project risks and proactively develop appropriate technical solutions.
Contribute to improving internal design processes, standards, templates, and best practices.
Represent the company professionally when engaging with clients and external stakeholders.
