Responsibilities
At The Straits Eye Centre, we believe everyone deserves access to professional and compassionate eye care. We’re looking for a dedicated Clinical Optometrist to be part of this meaningful mission.
Your Role:
Conduct refraction and prescribe glasses to improve vision clarity
Manage myopia and other refractive conditions
Perform eye investigations using advanced ophthalmic equipment
Maintain and calibrate clinical equipment for smooth day-to-day operations
Carry out vision screenings and support outreach programmes in the community
Provide warm, community-based customer service to patients
Collaborate with doctors and the clinic team to ensure seamless, high-quality care
Who We’re Looking For:
Diploma in Optometry (or equivalent)
Registered with the Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB) — pre-registered candidates are welcome
Able to work independently and confidently in a community clinic setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Passionate about delivering meaningful care to patients of all ages
