Role Description The Senior Executive Director is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing strategic consulting engagements, research initiatives, and client relationships. This role includes guiding project teams, setting priorities, and ensuring delivery quality across multiple clients, while aligning work with the organization’s mission and standards. The Senior Executive Director will lead business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities, shaping proposals, and representing Alpha Consults in external meetings. Day-to-day activities involve mentoring student consultants, reviewing research and strategy outputs, coordinating cross-functional collaboration, and monitoring project timelines and outcomes. The role also contributes to organizational development by improving internal processes, strengthening partnerships, and supporting initiatives that enhance student learning and community impact.
Qualifications
- Strategic leadership and management skills, including experience in setting direction, overseeing multiple projects, and driving results in consulting or related fields.
- Client relationship and stakeholder management skills, with ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build trust with corporate, startup, and NGO partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience with market research, data interpretation, and developing actionable business recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in preparing reports, presentations, and executive-level summaries.
- Experience mentoring or coaching teams, preferably in student-led or early-career environments, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
- Proficiency with common productivity and collaboration tools used in remote work (e.g., video conferencing platforms, shared document tools, project management software).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Management, or a related discipline; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Prior experience in consulting, strategy, or organizational development is highly advantageous; familiarity with social impact or education-focused initiatives is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities in a remote environment, and maintain high standards of professionalism and ethics.
