As a MES Engineer under Automation & Control Dept, you are tasked to provide and oversee effective application support to our manufacturing site. You will assist to drive automation, software and system related enhancements or key projects including site / manufacturing expansion projects.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Maintain, support, and administrate the MES and SCADA system.
• Perform MES/SCADA system change and related enhancements / bug fixes.
• Maintain, support, and administrate production reporting tool and all manufacturing IT applications.
• Maintain and perform routine system / server health check and backup/restore for Industrial PCs / PLCs.
• Perform first level support to the production systems and applications.
• Drive key site initiatives/ projects from planning to project completion.
• Lead and support automation/system related projects.
• Develop/review project documentations and related SOPs.
• Perform system/software validation.
• Perform, review, and approve SOP updates.
• Develop in-house application by software development tool (e.g., MS Visual Studio, PowerShell)
• Ensure compliance to GxP and HSE
• Liaison with site, global and regional Alcon counterparts and vendors to ensure good working relationships.
• Conduct investigation for Non-conformance (NCR)

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor degree in IT, Computer Science or relate Engineering fields
• Knowledge and experiences in Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Supervisory Control Automation and Data Acquisition (SCADA) would be advantageous but not a must
• Min 1-2 years of experience in IT Applications in manufacturing environment
• Able to provide 24/7 hours standby support based on rotational basis
