Role Description This is a full-time, office-based CNC (tube laser) Programmer role based in Puchong, Kuala Lumpur, reporting to our programming team lead, based in Australia. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for:

  • Program tube/Flat laser cutting jobs using CAD/CAM software (ArTube, Lantek, TubesT).
  • Prepare nests and optimise material utilisation.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Create and maintain accurate production job files.
  • Troubleshoot programming issues and identify process improvements.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Production to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Maintain programming standards and documentation.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving DXF/STEP file import and programming issues for laser cutting.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Programming skills, including CNC programming for tube or flat-bed laser equipment and familiarity with CAM/CAD software.
  • Candidates should possess Machining-related skills, such as understanding of tube laser operations, material properties, tolerances, and fabrication processes.
  • Candidates should possess Teaching and knowledge-sharing skills to support colleagues and contribute to standard operating procedures.
  • Relevant technical qualification in machining, manufacturing engineering, or a related trade certificate is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and specifications, and strong problem-solving skills in a production setting.
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and time-management capabilities, with the ability to work accurately under production deadlines.
