The Role

We are looking for an experienced UAT Tester / Senior Test Analyst with strong hands-on testing experience within the banking and financial services domain. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across consumer and/or commercial banking applications and a good understanding of end-to-end banking processes and workflows.

Candidates with longer and broader banking testing experience will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for banking applications and systems.
• Develop detailed test scenarios, test cases and test scripts based on business and functional requirements.
• Perform end-to-end testing of banking workflows and customer journeys.
• Test applications related to Consumer Banking / Retail Banking.
• Support testing for Commercial / Business Banking applications where applicable.
• Perform testing of Internet Banking / Online Banking / Digital Banking platforms.
• Test banking products and processes relating to Credit Cards, Loans and Financing products.
• Perform testing for Fraud Detection / Fraud Management systems and related workflows.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration and business process testing.
• Validate transaction flows, approvals, authorisation processes and banking workflows.
• Identify, document and track defects through resolution and retesting.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, developers and banking business users during UAT.
• Support defect triage, root-cause discussions and testing status reporting.
• Ensure business requirements and acceptance criteria are fully validated before production implementation.
• Support production verification / post-deployment testing where required.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of software testing / UAT experience, preferably with significant experience in the banking industry.
• Strong hands-on experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Proven experience testing Consumer / Retail Banking applications.
• Exposure to Commercial / Business Banking will be an added advantage.
• Experience testing one or more of the following areas:
• Internet Banking / Online Banking
• Digital Banking
• Banking workflows and approval processes
• Fraud Management / Fraud Detection systems
• Credit Cards
• Personal / Consumer Loans
• Commercial Loans / Financing
• Payments / Fund Transfers
• Strong understanding of end-to-end banking transaction flows and business processes.
• Experience preparing test scenarios, test cases, test data and test execution reports.
• Good experience in defect management, retesting and regression testing.
• Experience working closely with banking business users during UAT.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, ALM / Quality Center, Confluence or similar testing tools.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
