Full Time Head of Natural Gas Power Plant Development Jobs, in TERA Data Centers Federal Territory - Maukerja

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development of greenfield natural gas-fired power plant projects.
• Manage the entire project lifecycle, including feasibility, site selection, land acquisition, permitting, licensing, EPC strategy, procurement, construction, commissioning, and Commercial Operation Date (COD).
• Build and lead the Power Development team and recruit key project personnel.
• Lead engagement and negotiations with government authorities, regulators, utilities, gas suppliers, EPC contractors, consultants, OEMs, and strategic partners.
• Lead contractor prequalification, tendering, evaluation, selection, and contract negotiations.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

• At least 15 years of experience in power generation, energy infrastructure, or major capital projects.
• Proven track record of developing and delivering at least one greenfield natural gas-fired power plant from concept to Commercial Operation Date (COD).
• Strong experience in government approvals, land acquisition, permitting, licensing, EPC procurement, contractor selection, and project delivery.
• Experience with an Independent Power Producer (IPP), power developer, utility, or owner organization is highly preferred.

Language Requirements

• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.

Skills & Competencies

• Proven ability to build and lead multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong commercial, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.

Additional Requirement

• This role is intended for an experienced power project developer and leader. Candidates whose experience is primarily in power plant operations, maintenance, or O&M will not be considered.
