About the Roles

Join an IT/ Software & Digital Service company as a Finance Manager based in Kuala Lumpur. This permanent position follows a 5-day, Monday–Friday office-hours schedule and offers a competitive package comprising Basic Salary + Performance Bonus.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations for Malaysia and Singapore entities, including full-set accounting, financial reporting, month-end closing and management reporting.
• Lead and supervise the finance executive responsible for ERP/accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, efficient workflows and appropriate financial controls.
• Manage the monthly closing and reporting cycle, including preparing and reviewing management accounts and actual-versus-budget analysis.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including accountants, auditors, shareholders and financial advisors, to support accurate and timely financial operations and reporting.
• Manage external auditors and oversee the annual audit process, including audit schedules, supporting documentation and resolution of audit queries.
• Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts and strategic plans that support sustainable business growth.
• Partner with management and business teams to provide financial insights, performance analysis and recommendations for decision-making and resource allocation.
• Analyze financial statements, P&L reports and performance dashboards to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and recommend improvements to operational and financial performance.
• Provide management with clear visibility into key financial metrics and business performance to support informed operational decisions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and relevant legal requirements while maintaining accurate and timely accounting records.
• Improve finance processes, controls and operational efficiency through technology, automation, AI and digital tools, while supporting new financial guidelines, procedures, risk management and scalable processes.

What We’re Looking For

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent.
• Bring at least 5 years of relevant finance/ accounting experience, preferably within a start-up, growing or technology-focused company.
• Demonstrate strong hands-on experience in full-set accounting, including month-end closing, management reporting, reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Have proven experience managing external auditors and the annual audit process.
• Possess strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate financial information into practical business insights.
• Bring hands-on experience with Singapore accounting, financial reporting and tax requirements, which is highly preferred.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, reporting and modelling.
• Experience with finance technology, AI and process automation, including VBA, Excel automation, ERP optimisation, data visualisation and business intelligence tools to develop practical solutions to improve finance processes, is an added advantage.
