The Engineering Division conducts research and provides engineering services to the whole of DSO in the areas of digital and mixed- signal electronics/microelectronics, radio frequency (RF), electromagnetic interference (EMI)/electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), antennas, as well as mechanical and thermal engineering.

Electromagnetics Engineer

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead / work with a team to design and develop novel antennas or EMC solutions to meet a wide range of defence system applications. Examples include metasurfaces for beam steering and isolation, or phased array antennas.
  • Develop new design methodologies for antennas or EMC solutions using a suite of computational techniques and tools (e.g. computational EM, AI/ML design models)
  • Opportunities to be involved in the end-to-end design, fabricate, implement and test cycle.

Job Requirements

  • PhD / Masters / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Applied Physics
  • Knowledge in electromagnetics
  • Experience in lab measurements and use of RF equipment (e.g. VNAs)
  • Experience in the use of computational tools, such as CEM tools (CST, HFSS, FEKO etc) or AI/ML tools
  • Ability to work independently and be a team player to solve challenging problems

Skills: EM simulation software, EM/Circuit design, In-lab measurements.
