Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Health & Safety Officer to provide part-time HSE support for an earthwork/construction project. The role will involve assisting the project team in maintaining appropriate safety standards, documentation, and compliance with applicable occupational health and safety requirements throughout the project.

The position is suitable for an HSE professional who is able to provide periodic site support and professional guidance based on the project’s requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide periodic health and safety oversight for the earthwork project.
• Advise the project management and site team on relevant safety requirements and good site practices.
• Provide recommendations and follow-up on corrective actions where required.
• Assist with the preparation, review, and maintenance of relevant HSE documentation and records.
• Provide guidance on risk assessments, method statements, toolbox meetings, and other safety-related requirements.
• Assist the project team in ensuring that site activities are carried out in accordance with applicable HSE requirements.
• Support the site team during relevant inspections, audits, or compliance-related matters when required.
• Attend site when reasonably required based on project activities and HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Valid and relevant Health & Safety Officer qualification/certification.
• Must Posses Green Book
• Relevant registration or competency recognised by the applicable Malaysian authorities, where required for the project.
• Previous experience in construction, earthwork, civil engineering, or similar projects will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of construction site safety practices and applicable HSE requirements.
• Able to provide professional advice and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Working Arrangement

This is a part-time position, with attendance and involvement based on the requirements and activities of the project. The appointed officer is expected to provide professional HSE oversight, documentation support, and site attendance as reasonably required throughout the project duration.
