New Maritime Pte. Ltd. is a leading Singaporean ship management and marine fuel logistics company, owning and operating our own fleet of bunker barges with our in-house team.

Job Description

• Emergency Response: Acting as the Deck Department team leader during emergency and crisis response situations.
• Vessel Maintenance: Maintaining the upkeep and cleanliness of the hull, deck fixtures, fittings, crew accommodation areas (including galley, mess, and washrooms) etc.
• Team Leadership: Maintaining discipline and professional standards within the deck department.
• Inventory & Store Management: Administering and controlling deck stores and equipment, including inventory management, expenditure tracking, and requisitioning.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records of all deck maintenance activities.
• Environmental Compliance: Monitoring operations to prevent environmental pollution incidents and executing appropriate preventative measures.
• Navigation: Keeping a safe navigational watch in accordance with the Master's instructions.
• Safety Officer Duties: Serving as the Ship’s Safety Officer, promoting safe working practices, and conducting regular safety inspections.
• Safety Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring all shipboard safety and firefighting equipment is properly maintained and regularly tested.
• Ship Security: Acting as the Ship Security Officer (SSO) and executing all associated duties under the Ship Security Plan (SSP).
• Deck Operations: Taking charge of mooring parties during berthing and unberthing operations.
• Covering Duty: Assuming command as Master during their absence (eligible for an additional allowance).

Qualifications & Experience

• ANT Deck Class II Management
• MPA Module II Certificate
• Pilotage Exemption Certificate
• 6 months as tanker Master OR 1 year as tanker Chief Officer
• All necessary STCW

Pay: $3,000.00 - $4,000.00 per month
