Role Description The IT Engineer – Lab and Manufacturing IT will support and maintain IT systems and infrastructure for laboratory and manufacturing environments at client sites in Singapore. This contract, on-site role involves daily monitoring and troubleshooting of production and lab systems, including workstations, servers, networks, and specialized lab/manufacturing applications to ensure high availability and compliance with operational standards. The IT Engineer will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to implement upgrades, manage change requests, and support system integrations with manufacturing execution systems and related platforms. Responsibilities also include documenting configurations and procedures, maintaining inventory of hardware and software, and supporting incident, problem, and service request processes in alignment with IT service management practices. The role requires close collaboration with operations, quality, and engineering teams to maintain secure, stable, and efficient IT environments.
Qualifications
- Experience with lab and manufacturing IT environments, including support for production systems, lab instruments, and related applications.
- Strong skills in system administration and infrastructure support (e.g., Windows servers and clients, basic networking, hardware troubleshooting).
- Familiarity with IT service management practices (e.g., incident, problem, and change management) and ticketing or service desk tools.
- Ability to work on-site in Singapore and coordinate with cross-functional teams in operations, engineering, and quality.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on system reliability and compliance.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to document procedures and technical information.
- Relevant technical education or certifications in IT, computer science, engineering, or related disciplines are advantageous.
- Experience in regulated or industrial environments (e.g., manufacturing, laboratory, pharmaceutical, or similar) is a plus.
