Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced a Director to join a team focused on advancing Singapore’s AI governance and trust ecosystem. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, policy, industry and public interest, and who wants to contribute to initiatives that have national and international relevance.


What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of initiatives relating to AI governance, responsible AI and digital trust. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Developing policies, frameworks and practical approaches to support the responsible adoption of AI.
  • Tracking emerging AI technologies, risks and international developments, and translating these into relevant policy or industry considerations.
  • Working with technology companies, businesses, researchers and other stakeholders to understand challenges and develop practical solutions.
  • Supporting programmes and initiatives that encourage organisations to adopt responsible AI practices.
  • Contributing to industry engagement, consultations, workshops and thought-leadership activities.
  • Collaborating across government and external partners on issues relating to AI assurance, governance, safety and trust.
  • Representing the organisation in relevant local and international discussions where appropriate.
  • Leading or contributing to projects involving multiple stakeholders, balancing policy objectives with practical implementation considerations.


What we’re looking for

We’re interested in professionals who bring a combination of strategic thinking, stakeholder management and an understanding of technology or digital policy.

You may have:

  • A degree in technology, computer science, engineering, public policy, business, law or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in AI, technology policy, digital governance, risk, technology consulting, trust & safety, or a related field.
  • Experience developing policies, frameworks, programmes or strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to make sense of complex and emerging issues.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The confidence to work with senior stakeholders across government, industry and other sectors.
  • An ability to operate effectively in an environment where the technology and policy landscape continues to evolve.
  • Prior experience working with or within government agencies, statutory boards or other public sector organisations would be advantageous.
