HIRING: HYDRAULIC GEAR MECHANISM ENGINEER

Location: Seremban, Negeri Sembilan

Salary: RM8,000

Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

We are looking for an experienced Hydraulic Gear Mechanism Engineer with strong technical expertise in hydraulic systems, gear mechanisms, and heavy industrial machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing hydraulic and gearbox systems used in plastic recycling and extrusion operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, drive gearboxes, and related mechanical systems.
• Support machinery including shredders, agglomerates, extruders, and other heavy production equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic pressure drops, fluid leaks, abnormal noise, gear wear, and mechanical failures.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize unplanned production downtime.
• Optimize hydraulic pressure settings and gear ratios to improve machinery performance, production output, and energy efficiency.
• Inspect hydraulic and mechanical components and identify potential failures before breakdowns occur.
• Ensure proper integration and operation of hydraulic systems and gear-driven mechanisms.
• Maintain compliance with factory safety procedures, particularly for high-pressure hydraulic systems and heavy rotating machinery.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to machine reliability and production efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in hydraulic systems, gear mechanisms, industrial machinery, or heavy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, gearboxes, and mechanical drive systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining extrusion, recycling, or similar industrial production machinery is highly advantageous.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults independently.
