Purpose of the role
The Regulatory Affairs Team (“RAT”) is responsible for the Bank’s communication strategy with the local regulator, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (“MAS”) and the Association of Banks in Singapore (“ABS”). As part of the team’s mandate, this person will support the central role for MAS and ABS communication. In addition, the person will manage the Bank’s regulatory affairs matter.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate MAS inspections, MAS supervisory visits, MAS offsite risk assessment, surveys/information requests with relevant departments, perform sanity checks on responses and ensure the departments complete the requests in a timely manner.
Involve in facilitating the discussions with the MAS Banking Development on Bank’s or Authority’s business initiatives.
Prepare materials for the monthly Executive Management Committee meetings and summary of briefing material for Singapore Management
Assist Singapore Management and Head of Department to highlight any various key risks and control from governance perspective. Key risks include but not limited to AML/CFT, Credit Market, Liquidity, IT, etc.
Complete any other ad hoc projects assigned by the Head of Department or Singapore Management in a timely manner
Support Team Lead or the Head of Department to drive resolution of material risks and regulatory issues on behalf of Singapore Management by engaging stakeholders to close the necessary gaps
Job Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline
At least 3 years of risk and compliance experience within Banking and Finance or Audit sector
Excellent written and oral communication to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Good interpersonal and analytical skills, meticulous, independent, strong and motivated team player.
Demonstrate strong ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Must be proficient in MS Office and its applications.
